A Case of Optic Neuritis and Central Rentinal Vein Occlusion associated with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Abstract
|

|
he systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) is an autoimmune disease producing inflammatory lesions affect many organs. It is a disease of unknown etiology, classified with the collagen disease.
Ocular manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus include edema of the eyelids, ptosis, nystagmus, extraocular muscle palsies, conjunctivitis, Sj?ren’s syndrome, episcleritis, uveitis and retinopathy.
The authors experienced a case of systemic lupus erythematosus which was associated with optic neuritis and central retinal vein occlusion occurred in 35-year-old female patient complained sudden visual disturbance of the left eye.
We report a case with review the literature (J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 35:116~121, 1994).
